A ribbon knot of 1-fusion is the band sum of a trivial link with 2 components. The author calculates the value of the first derivative of \(J(t)\), the Jones polynomial, evaluated at \(-1\), of a ribbon knot of 1-fusion (it is expressed as the sum of 58 terms). The calculation is used to obtain the Casson-Walker invariant of these knots. The appendix demonstrates a number of properties of \(J'\).
