The paper is devoted to the history of Georg Cantor's family, in particular to the parents of his father, Georg Woldemar Cantor. The impulse for the author's investigations were some statements of Georg Cantor concerning his family made in some of his letters. The results described in the paper are based on the investigation of materials from archives in Denmark.
