Every projective \(K3\) surface over an algebraically closed field conjecturally contains infinitely many integral rational curves. By the result of [\textit{X. Chen}, J. Algebr. Geom. 8, No. 2, 245--278 (1999; Zbl 0940.14024)] it is known that a very general complex projective \(K3\) surface contains infinitely many rational curves. Later on it is proven by other authors that polarized \(K3\) surfaces of degree 2 and Picard rank 1, elliptic \(K3\) surfaces, and \(K3\) surfaces with infinite automorphism groups contain infinitely many rational curves. The main results of the paper under review are to prove the conjecture above in the case of complex projective \(K3\) surfaces with odd Picard rank, and in the case of non-supersingular \(K3\) surfaces with odd Picard ranks over algebraically closed fields of characteristic \(\geq 5\). The proof follows the approach of [\textit{F. Bogomolov, B. Hasett} and \textit{Yu. Tschinkel}, ``Constructing rational curves on K3 surfaces'', \url{arXiv:0907.3527}] and uses the moduli space of stable maps and the reduction to the positive characteristics. A novelty in the paper under review is using the notion of ``rigidifiers'' and the rigid genus zero stable maps to overcome some technical difficulties encountered in the latter reference.
