Local algebras of associative and Jordan systems, introduced by K. Meyberg, have become a powerful tool in the recent structure theory of Jordan systems. For any Jordan system \(J\), its local algebras \(J_a\), \(0\neq a\in J\), keep most of the structural information of \(J\), with the advantage of being algebras. Local algebras of Jordan pairs inherit primitivity and strong primeness and, conversely, any Jordan system inherits primitivity and strong primeness of its local algebras. The present paper is devoted to obtaining results on local and local-to-global inheritance in Jordan systems. Local algebras of simple Jordan pairs are proved to be simple (Section 2), and Jordan systems having all their local algebras simple are shown to have a big simple heart (Section 4). Finally, Section 5 concerns inheritance of semisimplicity by subquotients: a Jordan pair is simple and von Neumann regular if and only if all its subquotients determined by nonzero inner ideals are simple.
