    The paper studies the equations \( \partial_t u+V_s\partial_x u+v\partial_yV_s-\partial_y^2u= -\partial_x|\partial_xA|\), \( \partial_xu+\partial_y v=0\) on \( (x,y)\in R\times R_+\) which are supplemented with the boundary conditions \( [u,v]=0\) for \( y=0\), \( u \to A(t,x)\) as \( y\to \infty \), \( u\to 0\) as \( x\to \pm \infty \) and the initial datum \( u=u_0\) for \( t=0\). Here \( V_s(y)=y+U_s(y)\), \( A(t,x)\) and \( u_0\) are given such that \( u_0=0\) for \( y=0\), \( U_s(0)=0\), \( U_s''<0\), \( |U_s'''/U_s''|\le K<\infty \), \( |y^6/U_s''|\le K<\infty \). It is shown that the system has a unique local in time solution. A similar result was proved for the system \( \partial_t u+U_s\partial_x u+vU_s'-\partial_y^2u+\partial_xp=0 \), \( \partial_xu+\partial_y v=0\), \( \partial_y p=0\) on \( (x,y)\in R\times (0,1)\), \( [u,v]=0\) for \( y=0\) and \( y=1\).
