We derive analytical and numerical sensitivity calculus for multi-dimensional hyperbolic balance laws, which provide first-order information about the impact of perturbations on solutions. Our numerical method achieves this by tracking the variation of tangent vectors with respect to normal displacements of discontinuities, achieving first-order accuracy in two dimensions.
