This paper investigates how adaptive time-integration strategies combine with parallel-in-time methods for systems of ODEs and examines their influence on tolerance proportionality. We show that a simple adjustment to the original refinement factor improves computational stability in multigrid reduction-in-time (MGRIT) and significantly reduces computing time using multiple processors while preserving accuracy.
