Abstract: In this article we study local properties of Rapoport-Zink spaces for local $BP$-shtukas by constructing local models for them. This provides a ``local complementary to the previous results related to the local models for the moduli stacks of ``global $FG$-shtukas. We also discuss some of its application including some results related to the theory of formal nearby cycles on these spaces.
