Tldr This paper introduces a new type of precision arithmetic and parallel computing using multiwords, which are unevaluated sums of 64-bit numbers. The main contribution is that multiword arithmetic can be used to improve accuracy in applications where single-precision hardware arithmetic falls short, while allowing for efficient use of optimized hardware and parallelization on graphics processing units.
