On Geometry of Schmidt Legendre Transformation

Abstract: A geometrization of Schmidt-Legendre transformation of the second order Lagrangians is proposed by building a proper Tulczyjew's triplet. The symplectic relation between Ostrogradsky-Legendre and Schmidt-Legendre transformations is obtained. Several examples are presented.
