On a generalization of the Beiter conjecture

From MaRDI portal

Abstract: We prove that for every varepsilon>0 and a nonnegative integer omega there exist primes p1,p2,ldots,pomega such that for n=p1p2ldotspomega the height of the cyclotomic polynomial Phin is at least (1−varepsilon)comegaMn, where Mn=prodi=1omega−2pi2omega−1−i−1 and comega is a constant depending only on omega; furthermore limomegaoinftycomega2−omegaapprox0.71. In our construction we can have pi>h(p1p2ldotspi−1) for all i=1,2,ldots,omega and any function h:mathbbR+omathbbR+.
