On a system of second-order difference equations

Abstract: We obtain explicit formulas for the solutions of the system of second-order difference equations of the form

x_{n + 1} = f r a c x_{n} y_{n - 1} y_{n} (a_{n} + b_{n} x_{n} y_{n - 1}), q u a d y_{n + 1} = f r a c x_{n - 1} y_{n} x_{n} (c_{n} + d_{n} x_{n - 1} y_{n})

, where

(a_{n})_{n i n m a t h b b N_{0}},; (b_{n})_{n i n m a t h b b N_{0}},; (c_{n})_{n i n m a t h b b N_{0}}

and

(d_{n})_{n i n m a t h b b N_{0}}

are real sequences. We use Lie symmetry analysis to derive non-trivial symmetries and thereafter, exact solutions are obtained.
