Optical definition of gravity under static conditions
From MaRDI portal
An optical definition for gravity is given. This definition works for static gravitational fields, and is based on the frequency-shift of light travelling from one point to another point. Using this frequency-shift, a vector-field is defined, which characterizes the gravitational field.
