Partially complex ranks for real projective varieties
From MaRDI portal
Abstract: Let be an integral non-degenerate variety defined over . For any we study the existence of with small cardinality, invariant for the complex conjugation and with contained in the real linear space spanned by . We discuss the advantages of these additive decompositions with respect to the -rank, i.e. the rank of with respect to . We describe the case of hypersurfaces and Veronese varieties.
