Periodic behavior of cellular automata
From MaRDI portal
This note is devoted to the fact that it is possible for some deterministic cellular automata (CA) to have on average a periodic behaviour. The author proposes an explanation of the observation of a globally synchronized behaviour of deterministic CA and coupled map lattices, together with local fluctuations.
