Abstract: We demonstrate the construction of Poisson structures via Lie algebroids on moduli spaces of stable Higgs bundles over stacky curves. Considering specific cases of such Deligne-Mumford stacks, as well as of twistings, provides various important examples of moduli spaces that can be equipped with a Poisson structure. Special attention is given to moduli spaces of parabolic Higgs bundles and of Higgs bundles over root stacks.
