Product of difference sets of set of primes

From MaRDI portal

Abstract: In a recent work cite{key-11}, A. Fish proved that if E1 and E2 are two subsets of mathbbZ of positive upper Banach density, then there exists kinmathbbZ such that kcdotmathbbZsubsetleft(E1−E1ight)cdotleft(E2−E2ight). In this article we will show that a similar result is true for the set of primes mathbbP (which has density 0). We will prove that there exists kinmathbbN such that kcdotmathbbNsubsetleft(mathbbP−mathbbPight)cdotleft(mathbbP−mathbbPight), where mathbbP−mathbbP=leftp−q:p>q,extand,p,qinmathbbPight.
