If \(x(z)=\sum^{\infty}_{j=0}a_ jz^{j+1}\) and \(y(z)=\sum^{\infty}_{j=0}b_ jz^{j+1}\), then the function \(y=y(x)\) obtained by elimination of the common parameter z is described and might be expressed as \(y(x)=\sum^{\infty}_{k=0}c_ kx^{k+1}.\) The paper describes a formal procedure to calculate \(c_ k\) from given \(a_ j's\) and \(b_ j's\). Matrix formulation, FORTRAN program and examples are included.
