On seeking buckling modes of a circular plate

The paper deals with the buckling of a circular plate with constant thickness and axisymmetric deformation. The nonlinear Kármán equations are used for solving the problem. The solution is obtained by using series in Bessel functions. The differential equations are transformed into an infinite system of nonlinear algebraic equations. For solving this system an approximation is introduced using a projection method and a projection-iteration process. Results of computations are presented.
