Review text

An abstract second order differential equation with two linear operators is considered. Existence and uniqueness of the solution is proved and eigenvalues are estimated when the perturbation operator satisfies new conditions. These conditions are fulfilled for the dynamic model of a flexible beam attached to a moving base.
