Die von Zolotarev gefundene Übereinstimmung des Vorzeichens einer gewissen Permutation mit dem Legendre-Symbol [vgl. \textit{H. Pieper}, Variationen über ein zahlentheoretisches Thema von C. F. Gauss, Berlin (1978; Zbl 0373.10001), Variation 9]\ wird auf das Jacobi-Symbol ausgedehnt, und danach das Reziprozitätsgesetz für das Jacobi-Symbol nach Zolotarev bewiesen.
