Asymptotic diffusion limit of the symbolic Monte-Carlo method for the transport equation.

It is proved that, in contrast to the constant symbolic implicit Monte Carlo (SIMC) method, linear SIMC does possess the correct diffusion limit. Numerical examples, to illustrate the above and discuss related issues, are provided.
