On the order of magnitude of the number of divisors of an integer
In einer Abhandlung über die durch Radikale auflösbaren Gleichungen fünften Grades ist von Runge [Acta Math. 7, 173--188 (1885; JFM 17.0069.02)] nachgewiesen, daß \(\lim_{n=\infty}\frac{\theta(n)}{n^{\varepsilon}}=0\), wo\(\theta(n)\) die Anzahl der Teiler der ganzen Zahl \(n\) bezeichnet und \(\varepsilon\) eine beliebig kleine positive Größe ist. Durch Anwendung einer Methode, welche nur eine Verallgemeinerung der Rungeschen ist, wird vom Verf. gezeigt, daß die Funktion \([\theta(n)]^{\frac{\log\log n}{\log n}}\) die obere Unbestimmtheitsgrenze 2 besitzt.
