Abstract: We argue that supergravity in four dimensions exhibits an exceptional symmetry, enhanced from the known invariance. Our procedure to demonstrate this involves dimensional reduction of the theory to , a field redefinition to render the invariance manifest, followed by dimensional oxidation back to .
