Abstract: We study Ramanujan's cubic continued fraction and explicit evaluations of theta-functions
The authors give two integral representations for the Ramanujan cubic continued fraction \(V(q)= {q^{1/3}\over 1+}{q+ q^2\over 1+}{q^2+ q^4\over 1+\cdots}\) and relate \(V(q^3)\) to \(V(q)\). They deal also with Ramanujan's theta function \(\psi(-q)= \sum^\infty_{n=0} q^{n(n+1)/2}\). The results are used to compute some explicit evaluations of \(V(q)\) and of some theta functions. As expected, the details are technical.
