A new hybrid algorithm for \(\lambda\)-strict asymptotically pseudocontractions in 2-uniformly smooth Banach spaces
Summary: A new hybrid projection algorithm is considered for a \(\lambda\)-strict asymptotically pseudocontractive mapping. Using the metric projection, a strong convergence theorem is obtained in a uniformly convex and 2-uniformly smooth Banach spaces. The result presented in this paper mainly improves and extends the corresponding results of \textit{S.-Y. Matsushita} and \textit{W. Takahashi} [Appl. Math. Comput. 196, No. 1, 422--425 (2008; Zbl 1190.47072)], \textit{H. Dehghan} [Appl. Math. Lett. 24, No. 9, 1584--1587 (2011; Zbl 1308.47067)], \textit{S. M. Kang} and \textit{S.-H. Wang} [Int. J. Math. Anal., Ruse 5, No. 9--12, 433--440 (2011; Zbl 1295.47082)], and many others.
