Abstract: We calculate the local Fourier transforms for connections on the formal punctured disk, corroborating the results of J. Fang and C. Sabbah using a different method. Our method is similar to Fang's, but more direct.

The author obtains new proofs for the explicit formulas due to J. Fang and C. Sabbah describing the local Fourier transforms for connections on a formal punctured disk. Instead of working with connection matrices as J. Fang does, the author deals directly with the differential operators, as in the recent work by D. Arinkin.
