On a Poisson summation formula for noncommutative tori

Abstract: It is proved that a maximal abelian subalgebra of the noncommutative torus commutes with the Laplace operator on a complex torus. As a corollary, one gets an analog of the Poisson summation formula for noncommutative tori.
