Abstract: We prove that the sequence $$ occupies at least $sqrtfrac32N$ residue classes in the short interval $HlenleH+N$ and $Ngg{p}^{frac14}$ improving previously known trivial bound $sqrtN.$ In the other direction, we estimate the average number of residue classes missed by the sequence $$ for $plex.$
