Abstract: Let mathbbN be the set of positive integers, and denote by lambda(A)=inft>0:sumainAat<infty the convergence exponent of AsubsetmathbbN. For 0<qle1, 0leqle1, respectively, the admissible ideals mathcalI(<q), mathcalI(leqq) of all subsets AsubsetmathbbN with lambda(A)<q, lambda(A)leq, respectively, satisfy mathcalI(<q)subsetneqmathcalIc(q)subsetneqmathcalI(leqq), where mathcalIc(q)=AsubsetmathbbN:sumainAaq<infty. In this note we sharpen the results of Bal'az, Gogola and Visnyai from [2], and of others papers, concerning characterizations of mathcalIc(q)-convergence of various arithmetic functions in terms of q. This is achieved by utilizing mathcalI(<q)- and mathcalI(leqq)-convergence, for which new methods and criteria are developed.
