Abstract: We establish some new Lp-improving bounds for the k-simplex averaging operators Sk that hold in dimensions dgeqk. As a consequence of these Lp-improving bounds we obtain nontrivial bounds SkcolonLp1imescdotsimesLpkightarrowLr with r<1. In particular we show that the triangle averaging operator S2 maps Lfracd+1dimesLfracd+1dightarrowLfracd+12d in dimensions dgeq2. This improves quasi-Banach bounds obtained by Palsson and Sovine and extends bounds obtained by Greenleaf, Iosevich, Krauss, and Liu for the case of k=d=2.
