Abstract: It is shown that if is a Borel set of Hausdorff dimension , then for a.e. the projection of onto the 2-dimensional plane orthogonal to satisfies . This improves the bound of Oberlin and Oberlin, and of Orponen and Venieri, for . More generally, a weaker lower bound is given for families of planes in parametrised by curves in with nonvanishing geodesic curvature.
