Abstract: Let be an matrix with real entries. Given two proper cones and in and , respectively, we say that is nonnegative if . is said to be semipositive if there exists a such that . We prove that is nonnegative if and only if is semipositive for every semipositive matrix . Applications of the above result are also brought out.
