Abstract: The directed power graph vecmathcalG(mathbfG) of a group mathbfG is the simple digraph with vertex set G such that xightarrowy if y is a power of x. The power graph of mathbfG, denoted with mathcalG(mathbfG), is the underlying simple graph. In this paper, for groups mathbfG and mathbfH, the following is proved. If mathbfG has no quasicyclic subgroup mathbfCpinfty which has trivial intersection with every cyclic subgroup mathbfK of mathbfG such that mathbfKotleqmathbfCpinfty, then mathcalG(mathbfG)congmathcalG(mathbfH) implies vecmathcalG(mathbfG)congvecmathcalG(mathbfH). Consequently, any two torsion-free groups having isomorphic power graphs have isomorphic directed power graphs.
