Abstract: We define a reduced infty-operad mathcalP to be d-connected if the spaces mathcalPleft(night), of n-ary operations, are d-connected for all nge0. Let mathcalP and mathcalQ be two reduced infty-operads. We prove that if mathcalP is d1-connected and mathcalQ is d2-connected, then their Boardman-Vogt tensor product mathcalPotimesmathcalQ is left(d1+d2+2ight)-connected. We consider this to be a natural infty-categorical generalization of the classical Eckmann-Hilton argument.
