Abstract: Let $mSL(2,mathbbH)$ be the group of $2imes2$ quaternionic matrices with Dieudonn'e determinant $1$. The group $mSL(2,mathbbH)$ acts on the five dimensional hyperbolic space by isometries. We investigate extremality of Jo{}rgensen type inequalities in $mSL(2,mathbbH)$. Along the way, we derive Jo{}rgensen type inequalities for quaternionic M"obius transformations which extend earlier inequalities obtained by Waterman and Kellerhals.
