Abstract: We show that for any sufficiently large integer and a real there exists a value such that all strips contain at least points with algebraically conjugate coordinates. We consider points such that the minimal polynomial of is of degree , and height . The proof is based on a metric theorem on the measure of the set of vectors lying in a rectangle of dimensions with bounded from above and bounded from below, where is a polynomial of degree and height . This theorem is a generalization of a result obtained by V. Bernik, F. G"otze and O. Kukso for and .
