Moments on Riemann surfaces and hyperelliptic Abelian integrals
In this paper the authors discuss three closely related phenomena in the theory of Riemann surfaces. More specifically, they find solutions to the following three problems. - First the authors consider under what conditions the ``moments, certain integrals associated with certain non-constant meromorphic functions on the surface, vanish. - Motivated by the first result the authors go on to discuss the conditions under which so-called `polynomial Abelian integrals' vanish. - Finally, the authors apply the above results to the problem of the vanishing of a certain class of hyperelliptic Abelian integerals. The proofs make frequent reference back to [\textit{F. Pakovich} and \textit{M. Muzychuk}, Proc. Lond. Math. Soc. (3) 99, No. 3, 633--657 (2009; Zbl 1177.30046)].
