Computing the asymptotes for a real plane algebraic curve
From MaRDI portal
(Redirected from Publication:2464500)
The author suggests an algorithm which, starting with a given equation of an affine real plane algebraic curve, finds the real branches of the curve tending to infinity and their asymptotes. This can be viewed as one more comment to the classical Newton's solution based on the Newton diagram technique.
