For the problem: \(u_ t=u_{xx}+f(t,x,u),\) \(0\leq x\leq 1\), \(t\geq 0\), \(u(0,x)=g(x),\) \(u(t,0)=u_ 0(t),\) \(u(t,1)=u_ N(t),\) where f(t,x,p) is continuous, \(f_ p(t,x,p)\leq 0\) for \(t\geq 0\), \(x\in [0,1]\) and \(p\in (- \infty,\infty)\) a semidiscrete scheme is proposed. It is proved that it is \(O(h^ 4)\) globally convergent. As example Liouville's equation \(u_ t=u_{xx}+e^{-u}\) is solved by the proposed algorithm.
