Abstract: We discuss group divisible designs with block size four and type , where , 6 and 7. For integers and , we prove the following. (i) A 4-GDD of type exists if and only if , (mod 3) and . (ii) A 4-GDD of type exists if and only if , (mod 6) and . (iii) A 4-GDD of type exists if and only if , (mod 3) and . (iv) A 4-GDD of type exists if and only if , (mod 3) and , except possibly for , , for , , and for , .
