Abstract: Let (u,pi) with u=(u1,u2,u3) be a suitable weak solution of the three dimensional Navier-Stokes equations in mathbbR3imes[0,T]. Denote by dotmathcalBinfty,infty1 the closure of C0infty in dotBinfty,infty1. We prove that if uinLinfty(0,T;dotBinfty,infty1), u(x,T)indotmathcalBinfty,infty1), and u3inLinfty(0,T;L3,infty) or u3inLinfty(0,T;dotBp,q1+3/p) with 3<p,q<infty, then u is smooth in mathbbR3imes[0,T]. Our result improves a previous result established by Wang and Zhang [Sci. China Math. 60, 637-650 (2017)].
