Abstract: We present a way for fast implementation of a two-qubit controlled phase gate with superconducting flux qubits coupled to a cavity. A distinct feature of this proposal is that since only qubit-cavity resonant interaction and qubit-pulse resonant interaction are used, the gate can be performed much faster when compared with the previous proposals. This proposal does not require adjustment of the qubit level spacings during the gate operation. In addition, neither uniformity in the qubit parameters nor exact placement of qubits in the cavity is needed by this proposal.
