Abstract: For , let . Let be the elliptic curve defined by a minimal Weiestrass equation , with . There's a canonical height on induced by the divisor , where is the zero element of . On the other hand, for each smooth hypersurface in such that the reduction mod of , is an elliptic curve with the zero element , there is also a canonical height on that is induced by . We prove that for any , the equality holds for almost all hypersurfaces in . As a consequence, we show that for infinitely many , the specialization map is injective.
