Abstract: The bivariate series heta(q,x):=sumj=0inftyqj(j+1)/2xj defines a {em partial theta function}. For fixed q (|q|<1), heta(q,.) is an entire function. We prove a property of stabilization of the coefficients of the Laurent series in q of the zeros of heta. These series are of the form qj+(1)jqj(j1)/2(1+sumk=1inftygj,kqk). The coefficients of the stabilized series are expressed by the positive integers rk giving the number of partitions into parts of three different kinds. They satisfy the recurrence relation rk=sumu=1infty(1)u1(2u+1)rku(u+1)/2. Set (Hm,j):(sumk=0inftyrkqk)(1qj+1+q2j+3cdots+(1)m1q(m1)j+m(m1)/2)=sumk=0inftyilderk;m,jqk. Then for kleq(m+2j)(m+1)/21j and jgeq(2m1+sqrt8m2+1)/2 one has gj,k=ilderk;m,j.
