Abstract: Let mathcalE be a Hilbert space and HmathcalE2(mathbbD) be the mathcalE-valued Hardy space over the unit disc mathbbD in mathbbC. The well known Beurling-Lax-Halmos theorem states that every shift invariant subspace of HmathcalE2(mathbbD) other than 0 has the form ThetaHmathcalE2(mathbbD), where Theta is an operator-valued inner multiplier in HinftyB(mathcalE,mathcalE)(mathbbD) for some Hilbert space mathcalE. In this paper we identify H2(mathbbDn) with H2(mathbbDn1)-valued Hardy space HH2(mathbbDn1)2(mathbbD) and classify all such inner multiplier ThetainHinftymathcalB(H2(mathbbDn1))(mathbbD) for which ThetaHH2(mathbbDn1)2(mathbbD) is a Rudin type invariant subspace of H2(mathbbDn).
