Abstract: We prove that for any two quasi-Banach spaces and and any there exists a constant such that sup_{1le kle n}k^{alpha}e_k(T)le gamma_alpha sup_{1le kle n} k^alpha c_k(T) holds for all linear and bounded operators . Here is the -th entropy number of and is the -th Gelfand number of . For Banach spaces and this inequality is widely used and well-known as Carl's inequality. For general quasi-Banach spaces it is a new result.
