Cohomology of a Hamiltonian T-space with involution
From MaRDI portal
Abstract: Let be a compact symplectic manifold on which a compact torus acts Hamiltonialy with a moment map . Suppose there exists a symplectic involution , such that . Assuming that 0 is a regular value of , we calculate the trace of the action of on the cohomology of in terms of the trace of the action of on the symplectic reduction of . This result generalizes a theorem of R. Stanley, who considered the case when was a toric variety.
