Abstract: Let pin(0,1], qin(0,infty] and A be a general expansive matrix on mathbbRn. The authors introduce the anisotropic Hardy-Lorentz space HAp,q(mathbbRn) associated with A via the non-tangential grand maximal function and then establish its various real-variable characterizations in terms of the atomic or the molecular decompositions, the radial or the non-tangential maximal functions, or the finite atomic decompositions. All these characterizations except the infty-atomic characterization are new even for the classical isotropic Hardy-Lorentz spaces on mathbbRn. As applications, the authors first prove that HAp,q(mathbbRn) is an intermediate space between HAp1,q1(mathbbRn) and HAp2,q2(mathbbRn) with 0<p1<p<p2<infty and q1,,q,,q2in(0,infty], and also between HAp,q1(mathbbRn) and HAp,q2(mathbbRn) with pin(0,infty) and 0<q1<q<q2leqinfty in the real method of interpolation. The authors then establish a criterion on the boundedness of sublinear operators from HAp,q(mathbbRn) into a quasi-Banach space; moreover, the authors obtain the boundedness of delta-type Calder'{o}n-Zygmund operators from HAp(mathbbRn) to the weak Lebesgue space Lp,infty(mathbbRn) (or HAp,infty(mathbbRn)) in the critical case, from HAp,q(mathbbRn) to Lp,q(mathbbRn) (or HAp,q(mathbbRn)) with deltain(0,fraclnlambdalnb], pin(frac11+delta,1] and qin(0,infty], as well as the boundedness of some Calder'{o}n-Zygmund operators from HAp,q(mathbbRn) to Lp,infty(mathbbRn), where b:=|detA|, lambda:=min|lambda|:lambdainsigma(A) and sigma(A) denotes the set of all eigenvalues of A.
