Abstract: A ring is called strongly clean if every element of is the sum of a unit and an idempotent that commute. By {
m SRC} factorization, Borooah, Diesl, and Dorsey cite{BDD051} completely determined when over a commutative local ring is strongly clean. We generalize the notion of {
m SRC} factorization to commutative rings, prove that commutative -{
m SRC} rings are precisely the commutative local rings over which is strongly clean, and characterize strong cleanness of matrices over commutative projective-free rings having {
m ULP}. The strongly -regular property (hence, strongly clean property) of with a {
m P}-space relative to is also obtained where is the ring of complex valued continuous functions.
